Welcome to JMS Courier. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Overview
JMS Courier provides freight forwarding and delivery services for packages shipped from the United States and (soon) China to Jamaica. We offer both air and sea freight services based on your package size, weight, and shipping method.
2. Shipping & Delivery
We aim to deliver packages in a timely manner; however, JMS Courier does not guarantee specific delivery dates. Delays may occur due to customs, weather, holidays, warehouse congestion, or other factors beyond our control.
3. Sea Freight Minimum Requirements
Sea freight is available only for shipments weighing 50 lbs or more or measuring 14 cubic feet and above.
4. Rates & Fees
Rates for both air and sea freight are determined by weight, size, and shipping method.
Additional charges may apply for customs, delivery, processing, or oversized/fragile items.
Current rate details are available upon request or listed on our official price guide.
5. Pre-Alert Requirement
All packages must be pre-alerted via your JMS Courier account or WhatsApp. Packages that arrive without a pre-alert may experience processing delays.
6. Payment Terms
Full payment is required before delivery or pickup.
Accepted methods include cash and bank transfer.
Late payments may result in delays or storage fees.
7. Customs & Duties
All applicable duties, taxes, and customs charges are the responsibility of the customer. These must be paid in full before a package can be released.
8. Tracking & Updates
Tracking updates are provided through your JMS Courier Portal Account. It is the customer’s responsibility to check for updates and respond promptly to any requests.
9. Unclaimed Packages
Packages not paid for or claimed within 14 days may incur storage fees. After 30 days, unclaimed packages may be disposed of or sold to recover handling costs.
10. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited:
Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
Illegal drugs or controlled substances
Perishable goods, live animals, or hazardous materials
Counterfeit or pirated products
JMS Courier is not responsible for any delays, losses, or legal issues resulting from shipping prohibited items.
11. Limitation of Liability
JMS Courier is not liable for delays caused by customs, acts of God, shipping carriers, or other third-party factors.
JMS Courier is not responsible for damage resulting from poor manufacturer or seller packaging.
Claims for lost or damaged packages must be submitted within 7 days of delivery, along with proof (photos, invoice, etc.).
12. Customer Responsibilities
By using JMS Courier, you agree to:
Submit accurate pre-alerts and shipping details
Pay all applicable shipping and customs fees
Avoid sending restricted or prohibited items
Communicate promptly regarding shipment updates
13. Policy Updates
Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time without notice. All changes will be posted on our website and apply to future shipments.
